Mrs. Shay’s Jr. High ELA classes recently learned about literary devices through a creative project. Each student wrote an original sentence and created artwork to represent their assigned device. Their designs were printed on fabric and sewn into a class quilt.
A special thank you to Mrs. Shay’s grandma, Janet Harris, for helping bring the quilt to life! It is now proudly displayed in the classroom.

Our last day of Read Across America week ended with students reading to students. Such a fun week to kick off our Book Blast and show our students how fun reading can be.

Thursday was full of mystery readers in the elementary. The kids really enjoyed being surprised. Read Across America week has been so much fun!

Wow - our Book Blast is off to a great start! Congratulations to SUMMER GOFF for winning our first drawing prize: the Book Blast Treasure Chest! Our quest to level up our readers has never been so much fun! We’re blasting through our mission to earn as many books as possible for our students.
