                   Lunch – Chicken Parmesan on Bun, Pinto Beans, Fruit, Milk

                 Lunch – Turkey Wrap, Mac & Cheese, Cooked Carrots, Fruit, Milk

                Alternate – Fish w/Cornbread

Congratulations:  Congratulations to Dorothy Lock for qualifying for the State Cross Country Meet during the District Meet last Saturday.  Dorothy will run in the State Meet in Columbia @ the Gans Creek Course on Saturday, Nov. 5th.

 

Congratulations:  Congratulations to Mrs. Bolin and her Art students who attended the Tipton Art Invitational on Wed., Oct. 26th.  The PHS team placed 2nd in the Fall Theme Group Poster.  Individual winners are:  1st place – Kamden Holliday, Water Color, 2nd place – Madison Brown, Pastels; Cooper Brown, Ink; Alana Gauthier, Markers; Sophia Foster, Mixed Media, 3rd place – Hailey Milne, Charcoal.  Great job to all the art students who attended.

 

Congratulations:  Congratulations to Caroline Rhode who qualified for District Fall Speaking in FFA last night in Sweet Springs.  Good Job!

Book Signing for Mr. Barker:  Mr. Dean Barker, former History teacher at PHS, will be at PHS for a Book Signing event in the library for his recently published book “Marion Hedgepeth:  Missouri’s Forgotten Outlaw.”  Marion Hedgepeth was born in the Prairie Home area and Mr. Barker’s book is about his notorious history in this area.

 

Red & Black Scrimmage:  The Booster’s Club’s 1st Annual Fall Fish Fry will be held in conjunction with the Red & Black Scrimmage on Saturday, Nov. 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Please note the attachment and make plans to join us for a night of good food and great fun.

 

Breakfast and Lunch Cost Changes:  Just a reminder that the price of breakfast is $1.45 and the cost for lunches from grades K-3rd is now $2.25 and 4th-12th is now $2.60.  A small extra is .75 and a large extra is $1.00.  Adult lunches are $3.15.

Dismissal Times:  All PHS students will be dismissed daily at 3:15 p.m.  If you need to pick up your student(s) earlier than 3:15 p.m., please let the office know at 660-841-5296.

 

Student Pick-Up:  If you need to change your student’s plans for the end of the day (they will be picked up, need to ride a different bus, etc.) please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. to make those changes.

 

Medication:  All medication, both over-the-counter as well as prescription, must be given to the school nurse.  Serious consequences may result if a student is found with any drugs including over the counter or prescription.  First offense may result in 10 days of O.S.S.  Over-the-counter or prescription drugs may not be kept in purses, pockets, book bags, lockers or anywhere else on school grounds.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Simmons at 660-841-5296.

 

Food Service:  Please be sure and keep your student’s Food Service accounts up to date.  Account balance summaries will be sent home every Friday (if your student has a negative balance it will be in parentheses).  If a student’s balance is negative, they will not be allowed “extras”.  If your student’s balance falls negative more than $5.00, they will be eating a cheese sandwich (for which they will not be charged) and milk (for which they will be charged.)
